More Art Journaling...

Here, I used my art journal to illustrate a favorite quote: Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
Louisa May AlcottInspired by a journaling prompt, from the Dizzy Dandelion, this page is the result of creativity exercises where a sort of brainstorming is used!

End of School Year Scrapbook Mini Album

Last week was my daughter's last day of school and I wanted to give my daughter something special, that would help her remember this past year of school. Being a room mom this year has been something I had always wanted to do, but until this year, I always worked outside the home which made it impossible to volunteer for the many events during the school year that only occur during school hours. Since I now work at home,  I was blessed with the chance to finally attend field trips, parties, and special events at school that I never had the chance to attend before. As a result, I took a lot of photos and collect some of the momentos that I used to find in my daughter's agenda at night when I got home from work. I decided to make a mini scrapbook for my daughter and her best friend at school. I made two, one for my daughter and one for her best friend. Here they are:
Love this friendship quote

Each page has a tag inside

Album page with tag in place

This page has two tags

The album has five pages (front & back)

I made the album from  TPaper rolls flattened

Each roll holds a tag inside and...

has a picture and embellies outside

Some of the pages...

have flaps like this one

that opens upward

Some of the pages

have spots to tuck away photos

or embellishments.

These are all the tags

in the album,

Art Journaling

This picture is a photo of the cover of the art journal I am currently using. This art journal is an altered book that I gessoed both inside and out so that I would be able to use various mediums, like ink, stamps, pencil, and various types of paints.

The above pages are pages created in an art journaling class regularly held on Wednesdays at my favorite gallery, Muse Galleria, in Sarasota, FL. The class facilitator is Donna Gaunttlett, AKA the Dizzy Dandelion! The class features journaling prompts and good fun centered around creativity and usually donuts, pastries, or scones along with coffee (Starbucks if we're lucky)!

Wedding Gift--Pages in Order from start to finish

I did not include the cover, as I had already included that in another album….these are just the insides! I also created a box for the wedding for guests to put in cards and small gifts, which I will be sharing soon!
